The Map

Nine ways in. Most firms only show you one.

"What grants exist?" is the wrong first question. We start with what exactly are you trying to fund — then match it to every pathway that fits, and tell you honestly which ones don't.

Money

Government Grants

Federal, state, and local program funding — from Grants.gov to WA Commerce.

Money

Government Contracts

Sell what you already do to agencies that already buy it. Bid smart, not often.

Money

Workforce Development

Training reimbursements and incumbent-worker funding when you upskill or hire.

Money

Economic Incentives

Tax credits and reimbursements for equipment, expansion, and job creation.

Money

Foundation Grants

Philanthropic funding — usually through a nonprofit or fiscal sponsor. We'll tell you if that's you.

Money

Corporate & Community

Company giving programs and community grants for local impact.

Development

Subcontracting

Team with primes who already hold the contract. Revenue and past-performance.

Development

Partnership Funding

Joint applications where a partner's eligibility unlocks the door.

Development

R&D / Innovation

SBIR/STTR and research programs for companies building something new.

The Funding Fit Check

Five short questions. Real answers about where you stand — before anyone asks you for a dime.

Your strongest pathways

This score is a preliminary fit indicator, not an eligibility determination or a promise of funding. Every opportunity we recommend is verified by a human specialist against the official program requirements before you pursue it.

Services & Pricing

Plain talk about what it costs.

Most firms in this industry hide their pricing. We don't. Flat project pricing, no percentage of your award, no success fees — that's an ethics line in this profession and we hold it.

How It Works

A guided walk, not a paperwork avalanche.

Our system does the searching and the tracking. A human specialist makes every judgment call — that's a feature, not a fallback.

Fit Check

Five questions score your organization across all nine pathways — instantly.

Discovery

Our research engine sweeps official sources — Grants.gov, SAM.gov, state programs — for matches to your profile, not generic lists.

Human Verification

A specialist confirms eligibility against the official requirements before anything reaches you. AI never gets the final word.

Decision

You see verified opportunities with plain-talk fit rationale. Pursue, monitor, or skip — your call, our data.

Pursuit

Approved opportunities become managed applications: checklist, documents, deadlines, drafts, submission — tracked in your portal.

Guides

Answers to the questions you're already Googling.

Can a for-profit business get grants?
Sometimes — but it's the narrowest of the nine pathways, and chasing it first is the most common mistake we see. For most for-profits, the bigger money is in government contracts, workforce reimbursements, and economic-development incentives. The honest first question isn't "what grants exist?" — it's "what exactly are we trying to fund?"
Grants vs. government contracts: which should you pursue?
A grant funds a purpose; a contract buys what you sell. If the government already buys your service — hauling, landscaping, IT, catering — procurement is usually the more natural revenue universe. It isn't automatically easy to win, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. Free readiness help exists at SBA and APEX Accelerators; where we earn our fee is strategy, qualification, and bid/no-bid judgment.
Workforce development funding for employers
States compete for employers. Training grants, incumbent-worker funds, and per-hire credits reimburse money you were going to spend anyway — some programs cover thousands of dollars per new full-time hire, more in rural or distressed areas. If you're hiring or upskilling this year, this pathway should be scored before any grant application is written.
Funding for businesses with a nonprofit affiliate
Some programs are open only to nonprofit applicants. If your organization has (or partners with) a charitable arm, that entity may unlock doors the operating company can't open. What we never do: advise you to create a nonprofit just to chase a grant. What we always do: identify which entity appears eligible, then verify before pursuit.
